About Your Librarians' Lists

Authors have the gift to take simple words and spin them into a story that captures the imagination. Librarians have a gift, too. They are able to look at several stories, see the common threads, and then tie those threads together in the form of a reading list. The common thread can be as wide or as narrow as the librarian sees fit. One day she may tie together all of the fiction written by African-Americans. The next she might weave a list of stories with characters in their 90's. Regardless of the threads used, the end result is a list of books that guarantee that if you liked one of them, you will like another, too.
