Christmastime at the Library

Monday, December 15 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm

'Tis the season and the library staff is so excited that Christmas is almost here! On Monday, December 15, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, join us for Christmastime at the Library. This evening will be sure to get you and your family into the holiday spirit as we visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, make a keepsake Christmas craft, prepare reindeer food, enjoy a delicious holiday treat, and complete an indoor story walk of "The Night Before Christmas"! Children of all ages and their families are welcome to attend. Don't forget your cameras and your festive Christmas attire! Registration is strongly encouraged.

HCPL Computer Club

HCPL Computer Club

First and Third Thursdays from 3:00 to 4:00 pm

Students in grades 3 to 5 are invited to sign up for a computer club with fun hands-on activities, which will be held on the first and third Thursday of each month from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. Activities will include using the Internet, creating movies and presentations with pictures and music, working with photos, creating QR codes, creating art work in Paint, and much more! The students will use the library's computers.

Bouncing Babies - Monday Afternoons

Mondays from 1:30 to 2:00 pm, beginning October 6

Babies, between the ages of birth and 18 months, and their caregivers are invited for on-the-floor, interactive fun that encourages a love of books by using finger plays, songs, and free play. This program is also a great time for parents and caregivers to network and share their experiences.

Lego Club

Mondays from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm, beginning October 6

Parents, does your child love to build with Legos? If they are between the ages of 5 and 11-years old, the library is hosting a Lego Club for them! We will provide the Legos and a story, so they only need to bring their imagination.

The library is a fun place to be after school! If you are a kid between the ages of 6 and 11 years, we are just the place for you! Our activity hour will include crafts, special guests, snacks, and of course, stories!

Thursdays from 12:00 noon to 12:30 pm, beginning October 9

Bring your little engineers, between the ages of 2 and 5 years, and join the Duplo Club! Following a short story, children can let their imaginations run wild as they build special creations with a large assortment of popular Duplo blocks.
