Fun searching for K - 8 students!

Kids Search is EBSCO's interface designed for students in grades K through 8. Kids Search provides elementary school students with an easy-to-use, graphically-appealing interface. There are no worries with having to select a certain database, because all of the databases available are preset. So once a search is performed it only searches those databases. Kidsearch has a Dictionary, Encyclopedia, and Images tab that remain at the top of your screen no matter where you go. At the bottom right hand side of the screen the Top Searches for the day are listed. The feature, Spotlight Topic, gives information on just a selected subject for the day. There is even a separate area for Teachers.

Teachers Resource offers teachers the ability to search specific databases available to them such as ERIC, Academic Search Premier, and Professional Development Collection. This search screen is similar to that in EBSCO. Teachers can search by month and year of publication, publication type, education level, etc.
