Novelist Plus is a fiction and nonfiction database that enables you to find your next read. Novelist Plus is for all ages: Adults, teens, and children. Teachers are not left out either, such as the Picture Book Extenders, which have discussion topics and activities for many picture books, plus related titles.

Author Read-A-Likes - Want to find a new author to read? Try out the read-a-likes. The articles are developed by librarians who are experienced in Readers' Advisory work.
Award Winners (formerly Best Fiction) - Maintains a number of high-quality award lists, crossing a tremendous range of genres, subject areas, and reading levels.
Book Discussions - Gives a summary of various books, a brief author biography, questions and answers over the story of the book and further reading suggestions.
Feature Articles (formerly Annotated Book Lists) - These articles introduce books at all reading levels. Each article presents a subgenre or a topic along with brief notes about the titles mentioned.
Recommended Reads (formerly Explore Fiction) - Recommended Reads lists cover a wide variety of genres/topics at all reading levels. They are compiled by experienced librarians and literature specialists using a wide variety of reviewing sources. All lists are updated at least yearly.
What We're Reading - Each month, a few readers' services librarians, writers, or contributors to NoveList will share their favorite authors and tell about some of the books they have recently enjoyed.
Author Biographies - These biographical sketches provide brief introductions to noteworthy authors and their works.
BookTalks - BookTalks are a way to share enthusiasm and promote books to readers of all ages. NoveList provides BookTalks in the "older kids" and "teens" categories.
Curriculum Connections (formerly Teaching With Fiction) - Each of the articles includes an indication of the grade levels for which the article is most useful. Plus it presents a genre, subgenre or a topic along with brief notes about the titles mentioned. Articles provide ideas for engaging young readers with text. The articles are developed by experienced teachers, school media personnel and other professionals.
Grab and Go Book Lists - Divided by grade levels and based on topics frequently requested in school libraries, these lists are intended to help students, librarians, teachers and parents find great books to read on genre, and cross curricular topics.
Picture Book Extenders - Provide questions and answers that evaluate comprehension, vocabulary words from the text with definitions, extension activities, an a list of titles that offer further exploration of the theme or author.

POPULAR FICTION CHECKLIST - The Popular Fiction Checklist is genertaed by the Adult Reading Round Table. The Adult Reading Round Table of
Illinois was founded in 1984 to promote Readers' Advisory services and fiction collections in public and school libraries.
YA FICTION CHECKLIST - Young Adult Fiction Checklist is also done by the Adult Reading Round Table.
This list was designed as an introductory training tool to permit library staff to survey their young
adult fiction reading experience.
RA ARTICLES and RA TRAINING - Tools available to those interested in learning more about Reader Advisory
and how to incorporate it some of the techniques into their library or school.
