You will learn how to search the website, select items, place holds, make requests, check out, download, and transfer the items to your portable device. Talk Don't Type with Skype
On Monday, February 13, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, you can learn how to take advantage of free video communication. If you have a webcam, microphone, and an Internet-connected computer you can make video calls with Skype and other free video services. Skype is a free/low-cost way of communicating with ease on a computer or an Internet-enabled device.

iPad Basics
Do you own an iPad or plan on getting one? Come to the Library on Monday, February 6 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm to learn the basics of how to navigate the iPad, search the Internet using Safari and learn how to bookmark sites, learn how to buy apps from the App Store plus learn to move, delete, and become familiar with some popular apps, you'll also learn to update and sync iTunes, and use email. Registration is required to attend.
African-American Civil War Heroes
The Library will be hosting the African-American Civil War Heroes performance on Saturday, February 25 at 1:00 pm at the Presbyterian Church Gymnasium across the street from the Library. Andrew Bowman will portray the last Civil War soldier to receive the Medal of Honor. An exhibit from the Audubon Museum entitled Slave to Soldier will be on display. Henderson County High School's Notorious Steppaz will also perform at the event. Registration will be held February 5 - 18. Registration is required, and space is limited.
