The Library is offering a free workshop on how to write effective resumes and cover letters on Wednesday, March 10, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Taught by the Library's Public Computer Instructor Retta Zollinger, you will learn about different resume styles and why a cover letter is important. Helpful tips will be shared to make your resume professional and eye-catching. Participants should bring job experience and education information needed to create a resume as they will be given time to work on their individual resumes. The library is offering several free computer classes. The classes will be held in the Children's Department computer lab and each participant will have his or her own computer for practice. Trying to climb your family tree? Find out how the Library's Genealogy Department can help you get on your way! On Saturday, March 20, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, the Library will be hosting a Beginner Genealogy Workshop to show you how to get started tracing your family tree. You will receive a pedigree chart and other helpful forms for keeping records as you research your family tree. You will also be shown how to use the online resource Ancestry.com Library Edition.
