New Item/Material Request Form


This form is used to suggest a title for purchase or request an item for borrowing which the Henderson County Public Library does not own. Please note that you will not receive an immediate response to these requests. You will be notified when the item that you requested is available for you to pick up.

Some items may arrive quickly, other items maybe on backorder for an unspecified length of time. The Library cannot guarantee that any requested item will arrive within 2 weeks. If you need the item immediately (for example, in less than 2 weeks), please call the Library at (270)826-3712 and we may be able to find a quicker way to fill your request. If the item is unattainable, you will be notified. Please follow the steps below to successfully submit your request.

1.  Check our online catalog, to verify that the Library does not own the desired item. If an item is owned, please place a hold in iPac instead of using this form. (How do I place a hold?)

2.  If the item is not in iPac, please fill out the following form. Please note that all purchase suggestions are evaluated in accordance with the Library's Materials Selection Policy.

Some items cannot be purchased because they are no longer in print. We can attempt to borrow the item for you from another library on Interlibrary Loan. Interlibrary Loan requests typically take at least two weeks. Availability depends on the requested item and the lending policies of participating libraries.

Note: Some libraries charge for lending materials to other libraries. Please indicate if you are willing to pay to borrow the item.
