Getting startedThe first part of this tutorial introduces you to the Library catalog screen (see below). The catalog offers a number of different approaches to searching, Basic, Advanced, and Power. This tutorial concentrates on searches in the Basic search mode. We know that we are using this search because the word Basic is displayed in yellow. Take a moment now to click on the arrow in the drop-down box (beside the words GENERAL Keyword Search) to see that there are different ways that you can search, e.g. you can choose to search by title, author, subject etc. These different ways of searching are called indexes. |
