The Monument Restoration Fund, under the oversight of the Friends of the Henderson County Public Library, continues the vision begun by the Henderson County Historical and Genealogical Society.  Its mission is to preserve cemetery monuments.

We will gather in Henderson, Kentucky's Fernwood Cemetery Section 10 to rededicate the headstones of four United States Colored Troop members who served during the Civil War:

George Powell (~1835 - April 15, 1895)

Caleb Ramsey (alias Caleb Thompson) (~1824 - May 2, 1890)

Coleman Rucker (~1827 - May 25, 1895)

George Woodruff (~1831 - January 17, 1897)
