Program Description

Event Details

The Rev. Lyman Smith Allen devoted his life in service to his God & his community.  Allen pastored Immanuel Baptist Temple from the mid 40’s until the mid 80’s & continued to bring people to God until his passing in 1989.  Lyman was instrumental in the founding of 3 mission churches, the Green Valley Baptist Association, and the Baptist Student Union at Henderson Community College.  He was also extremely vocal in the Good Government League and helped with both anti-gambling and pro-civil rights measures in the community.  This look back at the man & his message is sure to bring back fond memories.
