The Monument Restoration Fund, under the oversight of the Friends of the Henderson County Public Library, continues the vision begun by the Henderson County Historical and Genealogical Society. Its mission is to preserve cemetery monuments.  We will assemble in Section 10 of Fernwood Cemetery in Henderson, Kentucky, to rededicate the headstones of five members of the Civil War United States Colored Troops (USCT).  These include Valentine Dixon (unknown-1896), Aaron Edmonds (unknown-1896), John Elam (unknown-1896), Green Robertson (1846-1896), and Anthony Rouse (unknown-1897).
