The Henderson County Public Library owns mobile hotspots for public use. Mobile hotspots provide individuals with the ability to connect to ten mobile devices to the internet wirelessly using cell towers. Mobile hotspots may be checked out to patrons provided the following guidelines are followed:
- Patrons must be in good standing with no outstanding fines or fees.
- Only adults with permanent cards may check out a mobile hotspot.
- The check-out period for a mobile hotspot will be seven (7) days.
- Mobile hotspots may be renewed if there are no holds.
- Overdue fines will be $5.00 per day.
- A mobile hotspot must be returned in person in the library during regular hours. The device is never to be left in the drop box. Returning a mobile hotspot in the drop box will automatically be charged a fine of $20 and future check outs will be prohibited until the fine has been paid.
- Mobile hotspots must be used in compliance with the Henderson County Public Library Internet Computer Network Policy. Patrons checking out hotspots must ensure to the best of their ability that minor children are kept from obscene material and that no illegal activity is conducted using the device.
If the mobile hotspot is returned in good working order and no parts need to be replaced, then no repair or replacement costs will be assessed.
If the mobile hotspot is returned damaged beyond repair condition, or not returned at all, the borrower is liable for payment of all applicable replacement fees. –see attached replacement cost list I understand the preceding conditions and will abide by the policy to the best of my ability and will accept and promptly comply with my responsibilities should any violation of the policy occur.

Replacement prices for missing or damaged beyond repair parts of the Mobile Hotspot:
Mobile Hotspot & Charger $80.00
Case $15.00
If nothing is returned, a charge of $95 will be assessed to patron.
